NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY 2020

The key to India’s sustained progress on the global stage in terms of economic growth, social equity, scientific advancement, national unity, and cultural preservation lies in ensuring universal access to high-quality education. To harness our nation’s diverse talents and resources for the well-being of individuals, society, the nation, and the world, universal high-quality education is paramount. With India poised to have the youngest population globally in the next decade, our nation’s future hinges on providing them opportunities for top-notch education.

Aligned with the roadmap for NEP 2020 implementation outlined by the Government of Gujarat, Sigma University has initiated Phase I, adhering to UGC guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP) released by KCG, Gandhi Nagar. Significant reforms have been undertaken in accordance with the GR and SOP.

Furthermore, in line with NEP-2020 and a commitment to internationalization, Sigma University proudly hosts students from Ghana, Thailand, Zimbabwe, Nepal & Afghanistan.

  2. Special MoUs with Universities in India/Abroad and Industries.  
  • The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Turiba University and Sigma University establishes formal cooperation and friendship to further academic objectives and promote better understanding between faculties and students. The MoU outlines areas of cooperation, including the exchange of faculty members, and students, joint research activities, seminars, short-term academic programs, and administrative exchanges. The initial focus will be on dual degree programs, student and faculty exchanges, and other fields deemed beneficial by both institutions.

  • Sigma University has formalized a strategic partnership with Zydex Industries through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to launch specialized programs, namely B. Tech Civil Engineering (Construction Technology) and M. Tech Civil Engineering (Construction Technology). The agreement includes a stipend of Rs. 10,000/- per month for B. Tech students and Rs. 12,000/- per month for M. Tech students.

  • Furthermore, Sigma University has successfully entered into approximately 34 MOUs with various Indian universities, multinational corporations (MNCs), and foreign universities. These collaborations encompass a range of initiatives such as special courses, student/staff exchange programs, joint research endeavors, and industry-related specialized courses, contributing to a comprehensive educational ecosystem.
