Anti Ragging Cell

Sigma University has a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form, and we take a strong stance against such behavior. We believe that every student has the right to a safe and respectful learning environment, and we are committed to providing a campus culture that is free from harassment and bullying.

Our anti-ragging policy prohibits any form of physical, verbal, or psychological abuse, as well as any behavior that creates an intimidating or offensive environment. This includes but is not limited to name-calling, teasing, hazing, or any behavior that can cause physical or emotional harm to an individual or a group.

To ensure the effectiveness of our policy, we have established a Ragging Prevention Committee that monitors and investigates any reports of ragging on campus. The committee is composed of faculty members, student representatives, and staff, who work together to prevent, detect, and take corrective measures in case of any incidents.

Any student found to be engaging in ragging behavior, directly or indirectly, will face disciplinary action, including suspension, expulsion, or criminal charges as per the severity of the offense. We encourage all students to report any instances of ragging to the committee, as we believe that it is everyone’s responsibility to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all.

We believe that our anti-ragging policy is an important step towards ensuring that Sigma University provides a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters personal growth and academic success for all our students.

At Sigma University, we believe that every member of our community has a responsibility to uphold the values of respect, integrity, and professionalism. To ensure that our campus culture reflects these values, we have established a Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Committee to oversee and enforce disciplinary actions for violations of the code.

Our Code of Conduct outlines the expectations and standards of behavior for all members of the Sigma University community. It covers a wide range of issues, including academic integrity, harassment, discrimination, vandalism, substance abuse, and any other behavior that may violate our community’s values.

The Disciplinary Committee is composed of faculty, staff, and student representatives who are responsible for investigating and resolving allegations of misconduct on campus. The committee ensures that due process is followed and that individuals are treated fairly and with respect.

The committee reviews all cases of misconduct referred to it, conducts investigations, and determines the appropriate disciplinary action. The disciplinary action may include a warning, suspension, expulsion, or other measures deemed necessary by the committee. The committee also provides support and resources to those who have experienced misconduct and works to promote a safe and respectful campus environment.

We take violations of our Code of Conduct very seriously and strive to maintain a culture of accountability and responsibility. Our Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Committee provide a clear and transparent framework for addressing misconduct and maintaining the integrity and professionalism of our community.

We believe that upholding our Code of Conduct is a shared responsibility and that every member of our community has a role to play in creating a safe and respectful environment. By working together and adhering to our community’s values, we can ensure that Sigma University continues to provide a world-class education that prepares our students for success in their future endeavors.
