Wellness at Sigma University

Welcome to Sigma University’s student wellness page, where we strive to provide a supportive environment that promotes the physical and psychological well-being of our students. At Sigma University, we understand that academic success is not just about creating a stimulating academic environment. It is also about promoting a healthy lifestyle, cultivating resilience, and fostering positive relationships. Therefore, we have developed a comprehensive program that addresses the physical and psychological needs of our students.

Physical Wellness

We believe that physical health is a critical component of overall wellness. As such, we offer a variety of resources to support our students in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our campus has a well-equipped gymnasium where students can engage in regular physical exercise. We also offer fitness classes and recreational sports activities to promote physical activity among students. Additionally, we provide health education and resources to students on nutrition, sleep, and other healthy lifestyle habits.

Psychological Wellness

At Sigma University, we recognize the importance of addressing the psychological needs of our students. We have a range of services available to support students’ mental health, including counseling and therapy services, mindfulness meditation classes, and stress-management workshops. Our counseling services are staffed by licensed professionals who offer confidential, compassionate care. We also have a dedicated team of advisors who provide academic and personal support to students.

Creating a Supportive Environment


We understand that creating a supportive environment is crucial for promoting student wellness. We encourage open communication and engagement between students, faculty, and staff. We also provide opportunities for students to connect with each other through student organizations, social events, and other extracurricular activities. Our faculty and staff are trained to recognize signs of stress and distress in students and are equipped to provide appropriate referrals.

Transition into University life

At Sigma University, we understand that the transition to college life can be a challenging experience, especially for students who are moving from different parts of the country or the world. We have developed a comprehensive program to help students navigate this transition and feel supported as they begin their academic journey with us.
