NOVA 2.0: Sigma University’s Platform for Innovation, Startups, and Industry Collaboration

Event Overview Vadodara, Gujarat – The NOVA 2.0 event, hosted by Sigma University, served as a two-day innovation and industry collaboration platform aimed at transforming conversations into actionable results for startups, students, and industry partners. NOVA 2.0 was created as a means to support entrepreneurs from the initial concept stage all the way through to the final impact stage, with an objective of connecting all stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including students, startups, MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, investors, CSR partners, industry leaders, and policymakers on a single, integrated platform. Key Statistics and Participation Some statistics about NOVA 2.0 indicate Sigma University’s entrepreneurial ecosystem is continuing to grow and develop. More than 550 startup applications received Over 120 startups pitched to raise money, secure grants, get paid pilots and purchase orders More than 30 different innovations displayed at the Innovation Expo Participation from 25+ experts and thought leaders Participation from 30+ industry and ecosystem partner organizations Participation of 500+ individuals from academic institutions, private sector organizations, and governmental agencies Startup Outcomes and Funding Support In addition to strong participation, the NOVA 2.0 event delivered concrete outcomes for startup companies. Collectively, startup companies received ₹36 Lakhs+ in funds through CSR initiatives, industry support, and government-assisted programs. Many startups also executed Letters of Intent (LOIs) and Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) to: Implement pilot projects Procure product solutions Deploy CSR initiatives Build long-term strategic partnerships Major Announcements at NOVA 2.0 At the event, a major announcement was the strengthening of SEDIC as a subsidiary to iCreate, acting as an extended arm to improve implementation efficiency and ecosystem connectivity.
