Our Commitment
Sigma University has a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form, and we take a strong stance against such behavior. We believe that every student has the right to a safe and respectful learning environment, and we are committed to providing a campus culture that is free from harassment and bullying.
Anti-Ragging Policy
Our anti-ragging policy prohibits any form of physical, verbal, or psychological abuse, as well as any behavior that creates an intimidating or offensive environment. This includes but is not limited to name-calling, teasing, hazing, or any behavior that can cause physical or emotional harm to an individual or a group.
Ragging Prevention Committee
To ensure the effectiveness of our policy, we have established a Ragging Prevention Committee that monitors and investigates any reports of ragging on campus. The committee is composed of faculty members, student representatives, and staff, who work together to prevent, detect, and take corrective measures in case of any incidents.
Disciplinary Action
Any student found to be engaging in ragging behavior, directly or indirectly, will face disciplinary action, including suspension, expulsion, or criminal charges as per the severity of the offense. We encourage all students to report any instances of ragging to the committee, as we believe that it is everyone's responsibility to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all.

Anti - Ragging Policy
The university has strictly prohibited ragging, and will take any required actions to prevent and deter the recurrence of such incidences. Ragging of, and among students of any form, at any place is prohibited and will not be tolerated. To learn more, please read the Anti-Ragging Policy. Any student of Ahmedabad University found indulging and / or abetting any form of ragging shall face strict disciplinary action, including the possible debarring of such students from taking admissions in any institutions of higher learning in the country.

Anti-Ragging Committee 2022-23
Ahmedabad University has constituted an Anti-ragging Committee for the academic year 2022-23. This has been constituted in pursuance of directions and guidelines issued by Honorable Supreme Court and the University Grants Commission to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging.
The university has appointed the following members to this Anti-ragging Committee. The task of this committee is to provide for the effective enforcement of the Anti-ragging Regulations by:
- prohibiting it,
- preventing its occurrence and
- punishing those who indulge in ragging at Ahmedabad University.

To ensure that our campus culture reflects these values, we have established a Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Committee to oversee and enforce disciplinary actions for violations of the code.
Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct outlines the expectations and standards of behavior for all members of the Sigma University community. It covers a wide range of issues, including academic integrity, harassment, discrimination, vandalism, substance abuse, and any other behavior that may violate our community’s values.
Disciplinary Committee
The Disciplinary Committee is composed of faculty, staff, and student representatives who are responsible for investigating and resolving allegations of misconduct on campus. The committee ensures that due process is followed and that individuals are treated fairly and with respect.
Investigation & Disciplinary Actions
The committee reviews all cases of misconduct referred to it, conducts investigations, and determines the appropriate disciplinary action. The disciplinary action may include a warning, suspension, expulsion, or other measures deemed necessary by the committee. The committee also provides support and resources to those who have experienced misconduct and works to promote a safe and respectful campus environment.
Maintaining Accountability
We take violations of our Code of Conduct very seriously and strive to maintain a culture of accountability and responsibility. Our Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Committee provide a clear and transparent framework for addressing misconduct and maintaining the integrity and professionalism of our community.

Sexual Harassment Policy
Ahmedabad University has a zero-tolerance policy against sexual harassment, which is widely condemned as a form of human rights violation, an infringement on life and liberty and a grave form of gender-based discrimination. Sexual harassment of any level is a punishable offence.
As per the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, an Internal Complaints Committee has been constituted who can be contacted for any complaints.
