International Women’s Day Celebration in Sigma University

Sigma University proudly organized the “She Leads Conclave – 2024” on March 6th, 2024, as part of its International Women’s Day celebrations. 

The conclave was a significant initiative aimed at recognizing, celebrating, and strengthening the role of women in leadership and entrepreneurship. 

The event reflected the university’s continued commitment to promoting gender equality, women empowerment, and inclusive growth within the academic and professional ecosystem.

Empowering Women Leaders: Purpose and Vision of the She Leads Conclave

The primary objective of the She Leads Conclave was to inspire, empower, and motivate female students, faculty members, and associated members of Sigma University, Vadodara. 

By creating a platform for interaction, knowledge sharing, and mentorship, the event sought to encourage women to embrace leadership roles, explore entrepreneurial opportunities, and confidently navigate professional challenges. 

The conclave brought together aspiring women leaders and accomplished women entrepreneurs under one roof, fostering meaningful dialogue and learning.

A key highlight of the program was the presence of successful women entrepreneurs who have demonstrated resilience, innovation, and determination in their respective journeys. 

Their experiences served as powerful examples for the university community, especially for young women who aspire to build careers in business, leadership, and innovation. Through their stories, the speakers emphasized the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and purpose-driven entrepreneurship in today’s dynamic environment.

She Leads Conclave 2024: Celebrating Women Leadership and Entrepreneurship

The “She Leads Conclave – 2024” was organized by Sigma University in honor of the International Women’s Day Celebration on March 6th, 2024.

The event aimed to inspire, empower, and motivate female students, faculty members, and associated members of Sigma University, Vadodara. 

The program showcased extraordinary women entrepreneurs who have successfully navigated the challenges of entrepreneurship, serving as role models and mentors to the university community.

Inaugural Address and Inspirational Leadership Session

The program was formally inaugurated by the Special Invited Guest, Dr. Shreya Shah, Vice President of Sigma University. In her inaugural address, Dr. Shah highlighted the critical role of women in shaping the future of society and the economy. 

She spoke about the importance of creating supportive academic and professional environments that nurture women’s talents and aspirations. Her address set a positive and motivational tone for the conclave, encouraging participants to believe in their capabilities and strive for excellence in their chosen fields.

Adding further value to the event, Ms. Kusam Kuli Vyass, IACC Chairperson, Gujarat Branch, delivered an exceptionally inspiring and thought-provoking session. 

Her address focused on leadership, self-confidence, and the evolving opportunities available to women across industries. She emphasized the need for women to take bold steps, embrace challenges, and continuously upgrade their skills to remain relevant in a competitive global landscape. 

Her interaction resonated strongly with the audience and left a lasting impact on the participants.

The event included a panel discussion on “Opportunities & Challenges in Women Lead Entrepreneurship” with esteemed panelists:

  • Ms. Swati Vakharia, Founder- Nabhi – Sutra
  • Ms. Anushree Maloo, Founder Nutjob

During the panel discussion, women-led startups emphasized problem-finding, out-of-the-box thinking, and providing solutions to society as essential components of starting one’s own business.

The session was moderated by Dr. Heena Patel, Co-Founder, INFINVENT IP, who skillfully guided the discussion and encouraged meaningful exchange of ideas.

The esteemed panelists included Ms. Swati Vakharia, Founder of Nabhi – Sutra, and Ms. Anushree Maloo, Founder of Nutjob. Each panelist shared her entrepreneurial journey, discussing both achievements and obstacles faced along the way. 

The discussion highlighted real-world challenges such as access to funding, work-life balance, societal expectations, and market competition, while also shedding light on the growing opportunities for women entrepreneurs in India.

During the panel interaction, the speakers strongly emphasized the importance of problem identification, innovative thinking, and solution-oriented approaches as the foundation of successful entrepreneurship.
